San Juan Sailing Foundation Board Meeting January 6, 2008

Present: Scott Boye, Peter and Susan Risser, Peter Chan, Nigel Oswald, Dez! Bridgmon, Barb Bevens, Abbie Finney

Absent: Mary Blevins, Marilyn O’Connor, Pablo Lopez

Scott called the meeting to order at 5:38.

Dez! said that she will be doing her presentation to the Friday Harbor Sailing Club in April rather than in February. It will be April 14.

Barb moved, Peter seconded to accept the minutes as amended (3 typos) from the December meeting. Passed.

The treasurer is ill, and the report will be updated by next month.

Dez! showed the pictures from the Great Oaks regatta on her computer.

Boat sponsorship: there are 4 sold so far. Peter has talked to Kenmore Air and mailed their letter.

The Port of Friday Harbor net shed discussion has not yet happened. Scott will talk to Marilyn in a week or so.

The Coach’s Clinic for Team Racing will be January 31 at Elliot Bay Outstation for the Seattle Yacht Club. Scott and Dez! will be attending. When they return, they will bring back the Vanguard centerboards and rudders, which Scott took down for repair.

We suggested to Nigel that he check into the “practice rudders” for the Lasers. Peter will call him to tell him what we need.

Abbie and Sondra Wilson talked about the boat house roof repair. She will have a report next meeting.
