Can you help? Join us! The San Juan Island Sailing Foundation needs interested people in our community to become members of the SJI Sailing Foundation for several reasons. Annual dues and contributions provide almost the entire source of operating funds. Also, commited members are an essential source of the volunteers that are required to perform the numerous tasks that assure the success of the SJI Sailing Foundation activities. For example, many person-hours are necessary to deliver a fleet of well-maintained boats and associated equipment to prepared supporting facilities at a scheduled time. Volunteer tasks range from a few hours per year to ongoing positions. Membership: The annual membership year begins at summer's end with the the Cascade Lake Camp-Out. Dues for membership are as follows:

$10 Youth under 18

$20 One Adult

$35 for Family including grandchildren

Volunteering with the
SJI Sailing Foundation!

Can you help? Volunteer! Committed members like you are an essential source of the volunteers that are required to perform the numerous tasks that assure our success. Volunteer tasks range from a few hours per year to ongoing positions.

The list to the left is only a short list of all the help we need. The San Juan Sailing Team hosts a Lasagna Dinner every year at the beginning of thier spring season, the money raised for this goes to help pay for all the travel expenses and entry fees to off island regattas. We need help setting up the venue and bringing side dishes for the feast.

Another activity is the May Open House at Jackson's Beach. Each May we are going to have a Saturday of sailing set aside for our members and potential members that would like to sail our boats. We will have a burgers and dogs, on shore activities and plenty of opportunities for helpers!

Summer Racing Series. Our early summer racing series needs volunteers to come out and sail. We need to fill our boats with people that are willing to spend an early evening in a boat racing against others that enjoy the soprt of sailing.
